Have you ever wondered why there are so many stars twinkling in the dark evening sky, so many beautiful and fragrant flowers decorating the Mother Earth, so many varieties of living organisms making their unique contributions to this planet? Everything seems to have just happened in a spontaneous way, and yet so perfectly planned and designed. But what is the real purpose of the abundance of such creations so rich in beauty and wonder?
Someone told me that God has created billions and billions of stars in the universe, colourful fragrant flowers on the Mother Earth and all sorts of wondrous creatures on this planet so that we're surrounded by Her beautiful creations and no matter where we look, we're reminded of Her Divine love.
Therefore, next time when you see a beautiful flower on the tree, hear a melodious song from a singing bird, or are caressed by a gentle breeze, remember that it is Mother sending Her love to you.
Footnotes:
This song has incorporated the 6 elements in it, starting with light and water, followed by ether (sound travels in ether - a bit of a stretch?), earth, fire and air. Each element is associated with one of our chakras and can assist in clearing its corresponding chakra.
This song has 3 verses with the chorus in between. The chorus is sung in 2 parts where the lyics in Italics are sung by a second group (but I didn't write the melody for that in the score below...). The ending bit: "Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi..." is sung in the same tune as the chorus. Please listen to the recording of the song posted above and enjoy.
We (the Brisbane bhajan group, a.k.a. Sahaja Sangeet) recorded this song at our bhajan practice. Please excuse the poor sound quality as it was recorded by my little mp3 player. Click on the play arrow button to play the sound file below if it doesn't start automatically. :-)
